Ragi Halwa Preparation
Ragi halwa is one of the dessert which is made up of
Ragi flour will give lot of energy to any person though he is young or older.
Ragi flour will be called with different names in various places such as Nachni
flour, finger millet flour, red millet and few others. This ragi is one of thw
wonderful grain which has lot of calcium and minerals including in it.
By using this raghi grain we can do many varieties
such as Ragi Mudda. Ragi Dosa, Ragi Roti and some others including this Ragi
Halwa. Coming to our present recipe ragi halwa it just takes 10-15 minutes of
time duration to complete. Ragi halwa is one of the famous Indian recipes which
will be cooked in various places. Even at some areas this ragi halwa will be
taken as morning breakfast that who loves the sweet particularly.
So, now let us have a look on ingredients that are
required for preparing this wonderful Indian dessert ragi halwa. There are very
few items required for this recipe which will be available commonly in our
home. First of all take measuring cup and same cup should be used for all the ingredients.
Ingredients:

Ragi Flour: 1/2
cup.
·
Fresh Ghee: 3-4
Tablespoons.
·
Hot Milk or Hot
Water: 1 cup (Give 1st preference to Milk).
·
Sugar: 1/4 cup.
·
Cashew, Almonds
and Pistachios: 6-7(just for garnishing).
How To Prepare Ragi Halwa Recipe:
· First
of all we have to heat 3 spoons of ghee in a pan.
· Later
add ½ cup of ragi flour into that pan.
· We
have to stir that mixture for more than 3-4 minutes on low heat.
· Wait
until that mixture gets bubble.
· If
once the mixture started bubbling then add ¼ cup of sugar to that mixture.
· Stir
it well for 2 minutes otherwise sugar will not be mixed completely in the
mixture.
· Later add 1 cup of hot milk, which is heated
in another vessel. (Using hot milk is compulsory).
· Stir
the whole mixture until recipe starts thickening.
· After
getting thick then we can switch off the flame and transfer it into serving
bowl.
· Garnish
Ragi Halwa with chopped dryfruits and serve it warmly or at room temperature.
Note:
· If
suppose Ragi halwa is looking dry then you can add 2-3 tablespoons of hot milk.
· If
you are fond of jaggery then you can add this instead of sugar.
· Better
to serve as soon as possible because it becomes thick if it cooled mean.
